The Matachewan Landfill is located off Highway 66 just a couple kilometers from town.
In an effort to reduce the number of bears and other wildlife at the landfill, the Township of Matachewan has installed high voltage lines around the landfill. To avoid injury, please to not attempt to enter the landfill after hours or by methods other than the main entrance.
