Matachewan Nursing StationOur Matachewan Health Unit Nursing Station had it’s official opening on May 28, 2004 and is located at 80 Matheson Street, Matachewan. (the Matachewan Fire Hall building).

Sporting approximately 1000 square feet, 3 exam rooms, an ECG Machine and an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

This "Outpost Nursing Station" offers a wide range of services to our community. Some services include:
  • Emergency Home & Site Visitations
  • Cardiac Care, AED and Oxygen Therapy
  • Occasional Home visits for shut-ins
  • Sexual Health Clinics
  • Well Baby Clinics
  • Quit Smoking 101
  • Immunizations & Flu Clinics
  • Bloodwork & ECG's
  • Family & Personal Counceling Services (in conjunction with the Canadian Mental Health Association)
  • Referrals
  • Medication Reviews
  • Diabetes Education
  • Nutritional Consultations

We host doctor's visitations weekly, a nurse practitioner twice a week and a registerd nurse is on site 5 days a week.
